tradition

18 Dec

tradition calls
through the window of time

a familiar voice
comfortable as a fond embrace

a tender voice
sweet as the memory of love

a compelling voice
steady as our beating heart

but listen close

hear the frail edge
the vulnerable resonance
hopeful that the future
will hearken

and respond

Tradition…………..it is beautiful to some and ugly to others. Tradition becomes ugly when it is forced. It is beautiful when it is an extention of society as it is.
    Nice poem.
